Chapter Thirteen

Enforcer was staring at the fire, waiting for Lindsey, when Bear called out the back door. “Hey, you guys might want to come to check on your women.”

“What’s wrong?” Fury said.

“They’re shitfaced.”

Fury sighed and stood. Enforcer, Traeger, and Savage followed him into the house.

“What’s up?” Savage asked as they followed the prez into the main room. All four men stopped short, stood there, stared at their women, and listened to them talking.

“What the hell?” Fury said.

“For the love of God,” Savage said.

Fury chuckled and looked at Traeger. “Your woman keeps calling us stupid.”

“Oh, she’ll pay for that.”

“They all will,” Savage said.

Traeger cursed and took a step forward when Tara fell but stopped when she started laughing.

Enforcer couldn’t believe his eyes. He’d never seen any of those women drink, much less get drunk. He guessed they would all be feeling it in the morning, and it was entertaining as hell until Lindsey started talking about him.

All three guys turned to him.

“I hope she was mistaken, man,” Fury said.

“Fuck. I don’t know how to be in a relationship.”

“Hell, we didn’t either,” Traeger said. “That didn’t stop us from showing our women we care about them.”

“Women need that shit, and with time, it got easier for me,” Savage said.

“Me, too,” Fury said. “A woman—not the sluts—can’t fuck a man without feeling something for them. But if they think we don’t give a shit about them, it will kill any feelings they have for us eventually.”

Enforcer ran a hand down his face. Fuck. He felt like a fucking pussy talking about feelings, but if his prez and vice prez could do it, he could too. “I do feel for her. I just don’t know how to fucking show her.”

Fury sputtered and laughed when his old lady fell asleep with her head on the table.

Enforcer couldn’t keep a grin off his face. “It looks like Zoe and Lindsey are still trying to play cards.”

Savage snorted. “They’re laughing too hard, and they keep dropping their cards.”

“Man, if you want to keep her, you’re going to have to pull up your big girl panties, suck it up, and tell her you care about her,” Fury said.

Enforcer rolled his eyes.

“You’ll lose her, bud,” Traeger said. “I almost lost Tara because I was fucked up in the head.”

“Do you want to keep her?” Savage asked.

Enforcer nodded. “Yeah.”

Savage smacked his shoulder. “Then you’re going to have to fight for her.”

“I’m getting my woman. She’s trying to reach for the bottle again.” Savage headed toward the table and snatched the bottle out of Zoe’s hands. He tossed down her cards, picked her up, and walked off.

The last three chuckled when they heard Savage try to reason with her, and she just kept giggling.

“I have to get Tara off the floor and into a shower. Damn, I hope she doesn’t puke.”

“I doubt they’ll be up for making breakfast. I’ll send a few guys out in the morning to get donuts,” Fury said. “Now, it’s my turn to get my woman. Night.”

Enforcer waited until his prez picked his woman up and walked off before he walked and stood over Lindsey.
